Description of neighbourhood
SAMPIERDARENA (name of the district) still has the flavour of a nice small town. you can notice something particular in the house's facades situated downstairs. I'll tell you why...
Cross of the Seas is located close to the Villa Scassi's Hospital.
Under the apartament there is everything you need: 2 excellent bars for breakfast and evening aperitives, like the Vintage Cafè! And several small food shops: butcher, bakery, 2 fruits shops, and a Hamburger house that serves chianina and craft beer.
There is also a beauty center.. and 2 motorbike's store supplies!
Descending the garden's staircase you arrive Via Cantore. Once it was a center for the wealthy Families and shipowners. You can observe the decorations on the facades and the mosaics.
It is still a nice place where there are unforgettable caffés/patisseries shops, like QUAGLIA and Mantero, one in front of each other.
There is a small food store called IN'S and a bigger IN'S crossing the rail station bridge, 2 good WINE shops: close to the station is SQUILLARI :D, the other is Cantine Morino, and other small shops in the side streets.
Usually on saturday there is a small market under the arcades.
Nice clothes shops, perfume shops, 2 vet clinics and the dentist!
At the bottom of the street following the station direction there is via ROLANDO: a small center full "of once upon a time" food shops: FRESH FISH shops, bakeries : boutique del pane ( bread) is recommended, artisanal ice cream shop with cream coffee...and so on....
I can warmly recommend the local restaurants called TRATTORIE nearby. Avoid the frozen food and taste the traditional local recipes.
Look on maps Trattorie. Some is A' Lanterna don Gallo, Maria e Mansù, and others... :D :D :D
Close by there is Sampy's shopping mall: FIUMARA. There you can find everything you are looking for.
So, have a nice permanence in Sampy ;D enjoy and explore the place, it's worthy!

How to move
Easy access to the motorway for the Ferry Terminal and the elevated road Aldo Moro.
Sampierdarena Train Station is 15 minutes walking. Trains here work as well as undergrounds and take you everywhere. Genova Principe is 7 minutes, Genova Brigole, from there you can go the beautiful and wide Corso Italia Walk, up to Boccadasse.
Sampierana is the ideal starting point for trekking in all the Riviera.
Airport is 3 km far
Buses: travel all the city! From Voltri to the Beautiful NERVI.
